TRAILBLAZERS gave me the wonderful opportunity to bike with my daughter - something I never dreamt was possible until I joined the club six years ago.
In spite of my visual impairment, I've always tried to ensure we participated in activities together… especially when she was younger. Becoming a TCC member gave us the opportunity to ride alongside each other…me on a tandem bike with a Captain and her on her single bike.
I am so grateful to TRAILBLAZERS for the rides with my daughter as well as the chance to enjoy nature, stay fit and socialize with lovely members.
When I volunteered for the TRAILBLAZERS more than five years ago, I was at a difficult point in my life.
As a long-time recreational bike rider, I was thrilled to find a way to combine my favourite pastime with my desire to help others. Deciding to join the club has been life altering.
For me, the club has been a source of community, physical exercise, friendship and personal inspiration.
I began volunteering for the TRAILBLAZERS more than ten years ago after coming across their information booth in a mall. As an avid cyclist, I was intrigued by the concept of providing cycling opportunities to more people.
My time with the club has taught me valuable lessons, such as the importance of good communication and teamwork.

My wife and I still remember volunteering for the club several years ago.
We had been searching for a way to give back to the community, but had not found the “right” fit. TRAILBLAZERS was exactly what we were looking for.
Volunteering for the club has provided us with great exercise, conversation and unique experiences. We look forward to many more years with the TRAILBLAZERS.
As a recent retiree, I volunteer for the TRAILBLAZERS as a sighted cyclist in order to give back to the community.
Having completed numerous marathons and triathlons, combined with my love of the outdoors, I found the TRAILBLAZERS organization the perfect match for me.
I feel I am doing my little bit to make this world a better place.
